This section pertains to a series of research and technology-oriented events and tours aimed at cultivating skilled human resources at the frontiers of science and technology. These events are designed around the combined themes of Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Information Sciences, and Cognitive Sciences (NBIC).
Participants — including outstanding students, related university students, and researchers — engage in hands-on projects, interdisciplinary workshops, and visits to industrial and research units to become familiar with innovative methods of problem-solving, experimental design, and prototype development.
Support from university professors and industry technologists is provided to guide projects up to the prototype stage. Presenting research outcomes in an end-of-event exhibition and networking with entrepreneurs and industries are among the benefits of GeoTED NBIC.
One of the outcomes of these events will be the creation of a network of creative and capable young individuals who can serve as a bridge between academia, industry, and society, transforming interdisciplinary technologies into products or businesses.
